Our Catholic Philosophy

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary School is an extension of the teaching mission of the Holy Rosary Parish and the Worcester Diocese. Under the leadership of the pastor and in partnership with the parents of our students, the administration, faculty, and staff strive to provide an atmosphere of faith where Christian principles are taught by example as well as through instruction.

The school is committed to excellence in the intellectual development and spiritual formation of its students. With a holistic approach, the curriculum is centered on basic skills and enriched by special subjects aimed at helping each student develop intellectually, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially.

Instruction in the Catholic faith, introduction to Sacred Scripture, and prayer are the bases for helping each child to discover self worth as a child of God and to develop habits of caring and respect for people and the planet.

Holy Rosary School also recognizes that community and service are at the heart of a Catholic education. Consequently, every effort is made to limit class size so as to allow the development of close-knit, caring relationships, and a sense of belonging. Students are involved in programs and activities that develop their awareness of local and world community needs and which encourage them to assume their responsibility as disciples of Jesus and maturing citizens.
